Glown blocks the real length of a knotless or box-braid set, takes a deposit before the slot is confirmed, prices hair and braid size as options, and lets two stylists share one client.
Glown handles what braiding actually involves: appointments that run four to ten hours and block the whole day, prices that change with braid size and length, hair supplied as a priced add-on or brought by the client, a deposit taken before the slot is confirmed, and two stylists assignable to one client.
It is built for Nigeria, takes payment in Naira, and is free to use at 2% per booking, capped at ₦2,000.
Nothing else in beauty has this much riding on one appointment. The deposit is not admin. It is the difference between a full week and a wasted one.
No deposit, no slot
The booking is only confirmed once the client has paid, on her own phone, in Naira.
The day is blocked properly
A nine-hour set takes nine hours on the calendar, so nobody is double-promised.
She is reminded before the day
Automatic SMS and email, with your prep instructions attached.
Everything a braider has to explain over and over in DMs, answered before the client books.
Full-day sets
Give each style its true length, whether it is waist-length knotless, small box braids, a retwist or starter locs, and Glown blocks the whole thing. One booking can own your entire day, which is exactly what it does in real life.
Deposits that hold
A braider who loses a Saturday loses the week. Require a deposit before the slot is confirmed, so the client who blocks eight hours of your time has something at stake.
Hair & extensions
Let clients choose whether you supply the hair, as a priced add-on, or bring their own. The total they see is the total they pay, with no awkward conversation at the door.
Two stylists, one head
When two braiders work one client to cut a nine-hour set to five, assign both to the booking so neither calendar shows them free.
Length & size options
Small, medium or jumbo; shoulder, bra-strap or waist. Each option carries its own price and its own duration, so the quote and the schedule always agree.
Home & travel
Offer home appointments with a call-out fee built into the price, and keep your travel time blocked so Lagos traffic does not eat the next booking.
01. Add your styles
Knotless, box braids, twists and locs, with size and length options priced and timed.
02. Set your deposit rule
Decide what a client pays upfront before a full-day slot is confirmed.
03. Share your link
Post it on WhatsApp and Instagram. Clients book the style, pay, and the day is held.
What Nigerian braiders ask before they start taking deposits online.
Glown is booking software that handles what braiding actually involves: appointments that run four to ten hours, prices that change with braid size and length, hair supplied as a priced add-on, and a deposit taken upfront so a full-day slot is never held on a promise. Require a deposit before the booking is confirmed, and set a cancellation window the client agrees to at the point of booking. For a braider this is the single most valuable setting in the product, because one no-show can cost an entire day of income.
